Please get in touch as early as you can rather than late on the evening before your arrival: without a completed online check-in no door code can be created, and without a door code you cannot get into the apartment.

Every guest aged 15 and over pays the city tax. Children under 15 are exempt.

Per person aged 15 and over, per night:

• Accommodation levy: 4.00 EUR
• Mobility levy: 0.50 EUR

That makes 4.50 EUR per person and night. From the fourth night onwards there is an additional one-off charge of 1.10 EUR per person (FIB).

Example: 2 people, 3 nights = 2 × 3 × 4.50 EUR = 27.00 EUR.

You pay the city tax during your online check-in, before you arrive. This is also the step that triggers your Gastein Card, so please complete it for every guest.

These charges are set by law. We collect them on behalf of the municipality of Bad Gastein and pass them on in full.

In Austria every accommodation provider is legally required to register its guests. That is why we need the full name and date of birth of every person staying with you, plus a photo of the ID of the person making the booking.

These details are used for three things:

• the official guest registration with the municipality of Bad Gastein,
• the correct calculation of the city tax (payable from the age of 15),
• issuing the Gastein Card, one card per registered person.

This is also why it is worth filling the form in completely: if a fellow traveller is missing, no Gastein Card can be issued for them.

Your data is transmitted encrypted, used only for these purposes and not passed on to third parties for any other reason.

If you notice afterwards that something is missing or wrong, just send us the correct details and we will update the registration.

The check-out is as simple as the check-in, there are no keys to hand over and nobody you need to wait for.

Please do the following before you leave:

• Take all your belongings with you and have a quick look in the wardrobe, the safe and the bathroom.
• Close the windows and simply pull the door shut behind you.
• Send us a short message when you are on your way. That helps us plan the cleaning and prepare the apartment for the next guests.

You do not need to clean the apartment. We only ask you not to leave it in an unusually messy state and to tell us about anything that was damaged during your stay, that is exactly what the security deposit is there for, and reporting something honestly has never been a problem for us.

You can find the latest possible check-out time for your apartment under "Can I check out later?", it differs between our two houses.

Often yes, but it always has to be arranged with us individually, so please contact us directly instead of making a second booking yourself. We will then check availability and take care of everything for you.

The same applies if you would like to move to a different apartment or a different category: we will check what is free and let you know the price difference.

After the departure we need about 3-4 hours to clean the apartment and prepare it for the new guests.  On the day of your departure you can store your luggage in our luggage room until you leave.

A final cleaning is included in your room price.

This applies both to something that was already broken when you arrived and to something that happened during your stay. Reporting it honestly is never a problem for us; what we cannot do is fix a defect we do not know about, and the next guests would run into the same thing.

If something needs repairing during your stay, we will arrange an appointment with you first, nobody enters your apartment without your agreement.

Small everyday traces of use are of course fine and are not deducted from your deposit.

During your online check-in a security deposit of 100.00 EUR is required for every booking.

The amount is only authorised on your credit card, it is not actually charged. If no damage is found after your departure, the hold is released again, normally within about 24 hours of check-out. Depending on your bank it can take a few more days until it disappears from your statement.

Please note that without the deposit no door code can be created, so please complete this step before you travel.

At Residenz Boutique Suites and Club Alpenresidenz, we require a 100 security deposit for each stay. This deposit is a standard measure in Austria and helps ensure that the apartment is returned in good condition. The deposit is paid during the online checkin and is processed as a credit card hold, meaning the amount is blocked on your card but not charged.
The deposit is released 24 hours after checkout, once the apartment has been inspected. Depending on your bank, it may take a few business days until the release is visible on your account. You do not need to come by in person, the entire process is handled online.
Only in cases of documented damages or missing items may a deduction be necessary. If this occurs, we always provide clear photo documentation. If the deposit does not appear back on your account after several days, your bank or card provider can give you the exact processing status.

We will send you a message 3 days before your arrival with your door code and instructions on how to use our keyless door system.

Unfortunately we do not have a air conditioning in the apartments but there is a heating control remote at the wall to adjust the temperature in the apartments.

The bathroom is equipped with a rain shower, a hair dryer, shampoo, shower gel and a body cream.

The bed linen for each booked guest is provided and prepared by us accordingly.

Yes! Please send us a message beforehand if you want to use the sofabed so we can prepare the apartment accordingly.

No, we do not provide bathrobes or towels for visits to the thermal spa. Please bring your own or rent them directly at the spa.

The towels in your apartment are meant for the bathroom, so please leave them there.

With your Gastein Card you get a reduced entry price at Felsentherme Bad Gastein (right next to the railway station) and at Alpentherme Gastein in Bad Hofgastein.

Yes, every guest gets a Gastein Card. It is not a separate product you have to buy: you receive it in return for the city tax that you pay during your online check-in. So that we can issue it, two things need to be done there:

1. Pay the city tax. The Gastein Card is issued together with the city tax registration. As long as the city tax is unpaid, no card can be created.
2. Enter the details of every guest. We can only issue a card for each person whose full name and date of birth you have entered. If someone is missing there, no card is created for them.

Once the city tax is paid and all guests are registered, your cards are sent to you automatically by email on the morning of your arrival day. You do not need to request them. Please also check your spam folder, the cards are sent by the tourist board's system, not from our own email address.

If a card is missing for someone in your party, simply send us their full name and date of birth and we will issue it manually.

The Gastein Card gives you discounts throughout the Gastein valley: mountain railways, thermal spas, guided hikes and cultural attractions. Some guided activities are even free of charge. You can find the full overview at gastein.com/gastein-card.

The Gastein Card also includes the Salzburg Mobility Card, so you can use public transport free of charge in the Gastein valley and throughout the province of Salzburg, including trains to the city of Salzburg.

During your stay, you will automatically receive the Gastein Card, which also includes the Salzburg Mobility Card. With these cards, you can use public transport free of charge in the Gastein Valley and throughout the entire province of Salzburg, including train connections all the way to Salzburg City.
You will receive the digital card after completing the online checkin. You can simply show it when boarding buses or trains.

No, we unfortunately do not have an iron in the apartment. But we do provide one on request.
